If you let something go, and it comes back to you, it’s meant to be yours

How did a casual conversation between friends end up with a car being sold and a car taking its place in my shop? I’m still searching for that answer, but in the meantime, this is what we bought.

For those of you who know us, you’ll recognize that car as Adam’s 1993 Eagle Talon we sold back in ’05.

Sometimes you just can’t pass up a good deal! When we sold his car we had put a lot of time and money into it:

  • RS65 AGP Turbo
  • 2g DSMLink (when we bought the car 1g DSMLink wasn’t availible so we wired up a harness for 2g DSMLink)
  • FMIC
  • 2.3L Stroker motor (Ross pistons and Eagle rods)
  • Blah, blah (you get the picture)

Well, it came back to us with substantially more then it left with:

  • GT42 Turbo
  • Sheet metal intake manifold with direct port nitrous
  • 3.5″ Exhaust
  • Aluminum drive shaft
  • The list goes on and on

The best part is we sold the car to a close friend who didn’t put more then about 400 miles on it in the two years he had it. (Thanks Skirt!)

So . . . we plan on spending some time at the track this year!

On a sad note, we did sell the Datsun 510 w/SR20DET motor and tranny to a fellow 510’er here in Utah. It would have been an awesome project when it was done, but our DSM roots called us home 🙂
